Lagoon at Last Light
Lagoon at Last Light
Lagoon at Last Light at dusk centres on a cool, still stretch of water, painted in soft aquas and milky blues that feel like a deep breath. Around it, the bush closes in: dark, mossy greens, teal shadows, and those quick cobalt marks that read like reeds or trunks in low light. Up top, a warm coral bank and pale pink canopy give it that late-day glow, when colour lingers even as the ground turns dark.
This piece is built in layers, with dragged brushwork, scumbled passages and bolder strokes that cut through the softer fields. It sits comfortably between abstraction and place, letting you decide whether it’s a creek bend, a lagoon pocket, or a memory of water.
A strong choice for a space that wants calm with a bit of bite: living area, bedroom, or anywhere you want colour that feels grounded rather than sweet.
