About Me.
Hi, I am a largely self-taught landscape painter who has returned to art making in mid-life. I practice art in Bundjalung country, in northern NSW Australia. I love the beauty and diversity of all the life that has evolved on our planet, and believe we should hold dear all other lifeforms that we share the Earth with.

Inexact repetitions evoke memories of landscapes in all its forms. Geometric shapes, lines and gestural mark-making allow me to draw the viewer into the landscape and portray nature’s imperfect perfectness.
Waterfalls are a particular obsession (I’ll often gravitate to one whenever I have the chance!). In visiting waterfalls I find peace and calm, but they also form a crux between ancient geology and verdant life.

More recently, palm trees are making an appearance, as I explore pattern and rhythm. To me, palms also represent a global theme of migration and freedom.
